Then your pronunciation guide is misleading. Uusisuom "u" is pronounced like the "oo" sound in "boot" (NOT the "oo" sound in "took"), while "y" is pronounced like the "u" sound in French "lune" (NOT the "oo" sound in "boot"). Matt.
