Various translations of "character":
The individual nature; the set of characteristic features: laika
["lEika]. This is a noun that always takes an argument; you can use this
word to say "the character OF such and such a thing" but not just
"character" in general.
A single trait or attribute; a characteristic: minúmi [mi"numi].
Admirable qualities; virtue, merit: naumitla ["nOumiKa].
A person in a story, narrative, etc.: tluona ["Ku@na].
An individual element of a writing system: senga ["sENa]. This can be a
letter of an alphabet, a diacritical mark, a punctuation mark, etc.
