I really can't tell the difference between a lateral approximant and
a lateral fricative. I *know* what it is, but I can't pronounce those
sounds distinctly. I think voiceless lateral fricatives are better
distinguished than approximants... What is the Welsh <ll>? And Valdyan
<lh>?
