As said earlier, you're completely wrong here. Cyprus is separated into a Greek Cyprus and a Turkish Cyprus. They had both a referendum of reunification last week (don't tell me you didn't hear about it. It was big enough news, being the big work of none other than Kofi Annan). It was known that if Cyprus was reunited, it would become part of the EU as a whole. If not, only the Greek part would become member of the EU. As it happens, the Turkish part voted massally in favour of the reunification, but the Greek part voted massally against it. Since majority was necessary in both parts, the reunification didn't take place, and only the Greek part of Cyprus joined the EU. There is *no* single Cyprus, except in the Eurovision Song Contest.

And you didn't hear about the failed reunification of Cyprus? Christophe Grandsire. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr You need a straight mind to invent a twisted conlang.
