No, it must sound as pronounced by a dried-out English traveller in the Sahara,
who sees the first oasis after
two weeks: the "w" like a long, deep "oo"-sound; the "a" lasting for two
seconds, if you want; the "t" heavily aspirated; and the "er" just serving
to make a nice ending to it.
