Well, it's not so funny for me any more; I've already mangled over 250 first
names to create shaquean names. (They are now over-mangled because of
several phonological changes.)
The mangling will depend much on your own pronunciation. Rachel is [RaSEl]
in French and approximatively [r\EtSEl] in English. The mangling will be
different.
Note: Shaquelingua puts an uppercase at both end of proper names and family
name comes first.
Second note: "x" is [Z] or [C] sometimes, and "y" is [M\] (velar approximant).
Henrik > ÇëyiK [CEM\ik_h]
Björn > BjóR [bjOx:] or BjøR [bj3x:]
Arthaey Angosii > Jajhgosi jarhsaË [jaj.g_0osi jax.sa"E]
Rachel > RaçëL [xaCe4] or YëtxëL [M\E.tCE4]
Roland > RolaA [xo4a"a] or YóløøD [M\O43"3d_0]
Rudi > RudI [xud_0i]
Lisa > Lisa [4isa] (Sounds much like king/queen: lishsa [4iz.sa])
Stéphanie > SetefajI [set_hefaji]
Andreas Johansson > Joasóy jadreaS [jo"asOM\ ja.dxe"as]
John Cowan > Kóyø txóY [k_hOM\3 tCOM\] or Kóyë dóxóY [k_hOM\E d_0OZOM\]
Remi > RevI [xevi]
However, I rather use the name KaluuxA [k_ha4u"uxa] in Shaquelingua. Totally
unrelated, I know. ;-)
