I can't think of a better dictionary in print form to recommend than Trask.
Until you get a copy, you can always use the Google define: format to
track down definitions for terms you don't know, if it's not listed in the
SIL Glossary. If you use Google this way for a while and save bookmarks to
the parent sites hosting the definitions you find, you should have a very
useful little collection of resources that you can browse directly from
time to time.
