I have a program on my computer called "Catz II", there's also a "Dogz II" (simulated cats and dogs), on their web site (http://www.petz.net), everything is pluralized with -z (toyz, linkz, etc.)

I've seen "wymyn" used by some feminists. And then there's the famous distinctions between American and English orthography, with no connection differences or similarities in pronounciation.
