I underline words in the vocabulary and search for specific underlined
characters. Not necessarily accurate, since roots entered more than once
(like elements of compounds) will be over-represented, but you can get a
pretty good rough count. And of course it doesn't take into account the
frequency of the words in actual text. So for instance one version of
Tirelat had the phoneme /H/, but it was only used in a couple of rare
words, so its occurrence in actual text would be even lower.
