The Journal of Pidgin & Creole Languages used to have a nice glossary
online, but the entire JPCL site seems to have disappeared. :(

Approximants are semivowels, like /w/ and /j/.

AIUI, you put your lower lip against your upper teeth as if you're going
to pronounce and /f/ or /v/, and make a nasal.
