Ailzm! ("powers", a Rokbeigalmki exclamation)
That's *exactly* how Rokbeigalmki works!
thes = (a) writing
wa'thes = to write (wa' = "to"/verb marker)
aza-thes = i'm writing (az = "i" + _a_ (present-immediate tense) +
"thes")
All other words are made by adding other affixes to the root, for
instance, in the example on my homepage, there's:
telos = (a) fear
ozu-datelos = he was frightening [someone] (oz = "he" + _u_ (past tense)
+ da, the causative prefix)
suddatelos = frightening (sud, adjective prefix + da)
elikuh-telos = scaredly (elikuh, adverb prefix)
(wa')datelos-ad = to be frightened [by someone] (da, causative + the root
+ -ad, passive)
there are various others that i have listed on the webpage
(http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Dunes/8515/conlang.html)
including the only one that involves a change in the root.
To make _datelos_ into "a scary person, a frightener", you 'soften' the
final consonant, getting _datelosh_.
