It's a good thing. What better way can there be to teach adolescents
important principles necessary to finding ones function in a modern
industrial society? You are a meaningless cog. You are replaceable. The
Powers that Be are too busy to bother with anything but the most extreme
circumstances. Your "name" is merely a personal convenience--your true
identity is your number. How better to prepare the youth of a country for
the grinding banality that will be the rest of their lives?
