Well, French has undergone quite a few sound changes in the last 40 years (some
even happened when I was already born, like the collapsing between /E~/ and /9~/
which hadn't begun when I was 6 and is nearly complete by now - I'm 24 -), so it
seems very likely. Yet, I can easily trill my uvula while I never used the
uvular trill in my L1.
