Well, his completely erroneous statements about Latin annoyed me (a verb
first
language!!!). If he had to mention the language he could at least have
checked
his facts. His drivel about word order was just so much rubbish.

That's my other pet peeve: I just detest sub-Tolkienequism - that probably
colored my response. Maybe I should've just kept quiet - and probably
would
have done if he hadn't made such a stupid blunder with his remark about
Latin.
