That would resemble German's use of "aber" and "sondern": nicht A, sondern B not A, but B ..., aber ich hatte keine Lust. ..., but I didn't feel like. ..., however I didn't feel like. In English, you can also use "however" for the second one, though. Cheers, Carstesn
