In The Silmarillion Appendix, entry gûl: "...this word was derived from the same ancient stem ngol- that appears in Noldor..." Presumably the phoneme represented here by ng is the final sound in "sing" , the IPA symbol being the "n with a tail"(i.e., one sound, not two as in "finger" (fing-ger) Mike> Where do you find Black Speech _guul_ "magic" from?Andreas
