Congratulations, you found one of the incredibly rare crazy people on the
Internet.
If anything, the idiom is a bit old-fashioned rather than cool, but this
Brit in America considers it perfectly acceptable modern colloquial for
"get in touch with me". I'd even personally allow it as U, though I think
I think of it as non-U.
