I like the idea, personally, of adopting one on the language's terms for
itself, as English does with the more obscure languages (and some less
obscure languages): Tohono 'O'odham, Imdlawn Tashlhiyt, Malayalam, and
Telugu come to mind. -ene is a nice suffix, too, though it tends to be
used in longer words and eats final syllables (Nazarene, Cairene).
