Can't tell your tone of voice, Roger, due to some odd character mangling to
your message... However, I think I can assume a smiley or somesuch there
<g>. Actually, my reading Dutch isn't that bad (last summer I embarrassed my
then-girlfriend by picking up a Dutch newspaper in Woolies in Poole and
commenting on the main stories), and the look-it-up-twice technique is just
the one I use for checking stuff in my smallish Dutch-Frisian dict. It's
just that I'm not so confident that I could face a long shelfful... I have
more than enough fun understanding my Dutch Etymological Dictionary, anyway.
The simple truth is that I'm out of practice, after concentrating on
Norwegian and Jameld for the last year or so.
