As the saying goes, Try! Get a decent Dutch-English Dict. and look up every
word. If you already know het, de, en etc. you're halfway there. As you
know, Dutch is essentially misspelled English with German grammar, so it's
familiar enough. Surely by the end of Vol 1 you'll be cooking. I'm serious!

I don't know if their Library is on-line, but you might try Hope College, in
Holland Michigan. <http://hope.edu/> A very fine little school, affiliated
with the Reformed Church. More than half the town, and much of the student
body, is of Dutch descent.
