I too recommend it, but why are some scripts only scantily illustrated or not at all? E.g. no table for bdu-med style of Tibetan, just an PRC newspaper title... Info on various regional varieties of Germanic runes are also not illustrated, nor are Hungarian runes, and the "Yiddish alphabet" is just a listing of the basic Hebrew letters -- no Yiddish digraphs or mention of special mappings like ayin = /e/ or alef = /o/ in sight! Just now I also discover that there is a reproduction of a page of Javanese written in Arabic, but no table of the alphabet. Now, what if we -- the Conlang community -- went ahead and made an online reference on writing systems, since several of us are writing-systems nuts? I once had the plan to do one, but it is a huge job for one person... :-( /BP B.Philip Jonsson mailto:bpj@netg.se mailto:melroch@my-deja.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~__ Anant' avanaute quettalmar! \ \ __ ____ ____ _____________ ___ __ __ __ / / \ \/___ \\__ \ /___ _____/\ \\__ \\ \ \ \\ \ / / / / / / / \ / /Melroch\ \_/ // / / // / / / / /___/ /_ / /\ \ / /Melarocco\_ // /__/ // /__/ / /_________//_/ \_\/ /Eowine__ / / \___/\_\\___/\_\ I neer Pityancalimeo\ \_____/ /ar/ /_atar Mercasso naan ~~~~~~~~~Cuinondil~~~\_______/~~~\__/~~~Noolendur~~~~~~ || Lenda lenda pellalenda pellatellenda cuivie aiya! || "A coincidence, as we say in Middle-Earth" (JRR Tolkien)
