I'm pretty sure its an aussie word, so that could explain that, but it is apparantly short for 'bludgeon'. I wouldn't have a clue how it got from that to its current meaning, but many aussies use it all the time. for example: today started out looking like it was going to be a bad day, but it turned out to be bludgy. Which is one of its other meanings (but the statement is true, so I used it). Tristan
