In Burrow & Emeneau's Comparative Dravidian Dictionary (a terribly scholarly
work) I came across
"(word forgotten)": a squirt for festival occasions.
Thanks to TV and Natl. Geographic, I now know this refers to a major Hindu
festival (New Years??), where people go around squirting each other with
colored water... but at the time it struck me as very funny.
