Hmm, sounds like Jpn then... they always seem to start
every utterance with "de mo" (literally, "but").
Another tricky one for this American is "tonikaku"
which, according to the dictionary, is "at any rate";
the usage seems to differ, though. I wonder if
Hiroshi Kato is here and can offer me advice to
clarify my own misusage of "tonikaku"... and what's up
with "sunawachi" and "shitagatte"!!!
Speaking of Kato-san, I think we should get together
in February for a conlang chat... any other Tokyoites
here interested?
