It is my impression too. When I hear someone talking in Castillan
Spanish, I've got the impression of hearing a single long trilled 'r'
with lots of /T/'s inserted and sometimes a few vowels and consonnants.
:) But if I pay more attention, I'm able to follow part of the
conversation (though I used to be better, but I stopped learning Spanish
two years ago and I never actually use it).
