Finnish has one very twisted method of expressing definiteness, but only in
some certain cases:
When the subject is in the plural partitive case (which happens when the
verb is intransitive, and with some additional rules...sort of similar to
when German has "ist" and when it has "hast" in the perfect...) it usually
ahs a singular verb - but if one wishes to express definiteness, one uses a
plural verb!
