Old Yivríndil contained quite a few loans from surrounding languages, but once the modern Yivríndi attained cultural dominance in their part of the globe, borrowings were rare. The main sources of borrowings in current Yivríndil are from the closely related language Praçí (a lot of natural terms borrowed from this language) or the more distantly related language Hiksilipsi. Borrowings from Chazaar, Aenmur, and Wynnawe are rarer, but they do occur. All of those languages have borrowed extensively from Yivríndil, though. (Since these are all places/languages in my conworld, I don't expect any of you to know what they are.) Jesse S.
