They look nice, and rather natural (but as yet I haven't studied
enough the conhistorical background, sorry :o ).

I would think of some development like this:
Literary style (or traditional genre) -> style of manuscript/book
layout -> script style.
So you can get most weird and attractive names, like 'Northern Flowers'
(implying a genre in poetry) or 'Marble Chamber' (some old monarch's
scriptorium), etc.
