I don't think the Soviets were exactly sad that they had to cut the USA in
two in order to give the Soviet Union a central location on world maps ...
Tangentially, what about post-Soviet Russian maps? Do they stick to this way
of cutting up the thing, or have they switched to the (literally)
eurocentric verison?
