I don't think there are many restrictions on what parts of the language =
can
be done in which order, but one of the first things you'll need to do is
settle on a phonology. It's possible to work with a changing phonology, =
but
it's a lot easier if you know what sounds exist in the language, and how
they can be combined into words. One of the reasons that Hlererhoi (my =
most
recent project) hasn't progressed very far is that I keep changing the
phonology. The larger my vocabulary gets, the more words I have to =
inspect
and update each time I change the phonology. But if you're not satisfied
with the existing phonology, it's better to change it as soon as =
possible,
even if that means delaying or redoing other aspects of the language. =
It's
probably a good idea to have at least a preliminary idea of the =
morphology
before you lock down the phonology, though.
