How do you make a creole or a pidgin. Do you apply sound changes and 'corrupt' the
words or do you use some other method.

I'll check out your languages today.

Both are up on langmaker.com now. Check them out, if you're not busy. The
second is my attempt at a creole. It's a neat idea, which may be the same as
what went down here a few months ago (?). I took a set list of words and then
made a creole from those words and those words alone. The words contained no
grammar, of course, and I picked them based on what most pidgins have words for
(i.e., basic words). If the project I'm thinking of that happened way back when
was different, it might be a neat idea for a group to come together and take a
common set of "basic" words (there's bound to be disagreement about what's
basic and what isn't--I have arguments with myself about this), and then
everyone invents a creole from it, and then comparing/contrasting happens. It's
*kind of* like the Ardalang project (remember *that*?), but focusing on
creoles. Anyway, that's it. Though I would like to mention again that I now own
the Codex Seraphinianvs. I said it before, but I don't think anyone read it. I
was pretty excited about it.
