Is this really an /h/ that has appeared out of nowhere, or is it preaspiration
(which seems more likely)?
I know of at least one Swedish dialect that has developed
preaspiration of stops (the Gräsö dialect).
Regarding the *cluster* /h/ + stop, that's not unusual at all. Algonquian has them, as
does my conlang Piata :), and Finnish has them, or are they pronounced [x]?
