I presume the Great Britain has cooking shows on TV. I was watching
one the other day here in the USA and saw the chef pour an ingredient
into the palm of her hand. She said, "That looks like a third of a
cup," and dumped it into the bowl. So much for accurate measuring.
But I do believe that when one has been cooking long enough, once gets
a feel for measurements.
