I need justification? =)
Actually it's because the story takes place on a (futuristic,
imagined) planet where at one point both a czech and a spanish
spacecraft ship crashed (actually the czech one crashed about one
hundred years earlier than the spanish one) and the people mingled,
although they had no knowledge of each other's languages. In any
case, all I can really tell you is that it is going to be something
of a pidgin/creole but...one that has evolved a fair bit past what
i'd call a creole-stage. In any case, the idea is that the
pronounciation is fairly much an even mix of spanish and czech, and
the grammer seems to have more spanish than czech influences
although...right now I've barely got anything seriously finished. The
grammer is being created now. I am going through multiple stages with
it. I'm working on creating the basic czech/spanish creole right now
which then will go through changes after I have it finished. This
will be at the creole level and I will work from there towards a more
structured grammar that is fairly different from either of the
original two languages.
Basically this is a NEW endeavour of mine...that is, not too far into
it yet. But, hopefully when I'm all done I'll have a version of the
story written in english and in this language. Ahhh...As far as the
iinfluences (which will be mostly vocabulary) from other languages
such as Croatian, Portuguese, Catalan, and Basque and Arabic (through
Spanish). Well, that is just small influences from members of the
ship crews who in fact weren't spanish or czech. All in all I would
call the first level I will present to you all a Spanish-Czech Creole
which will then, in turn, be expanded into yet another tongue.
Yeah, that's about it for now.
