That is correct, although a bit simplified. -en is only one of several possible inflections denoting definite form, depending on things like gender, plural and whether the common case ends in a vowel or a consonant. So, for instance, we have: en bok a book boken the book böcker books böckerna the books ett tåg a train tåget the train tåg trains tågen the trains en by a village byn the village byar villages byarna the villages ett bi a bee biet the bee bin bees bina the bees There are more variants, but those give you the general setup. /Fredrik
