So the whole IKEA post was a bit odd, for virtue of having such an abundance of IKEAs in it, but one thing particularly caught my attention. Unless I'm greatly mistaken, IKEA is never pronounced /'ajki:r/ in the US, nor it is /Ikaja/. I've only heard /aj'kia/.
