I dont know about Japanese, but in Silindion (or more specifically, High Silindion, the language of the court and of religion), it would mean "his fountain" rin "fountain" -nya "his" > rinya In Low Silindion the word would be: rimanya rima + nya

In Finnish, my first guess was that it had something to do with the "Lappish" people (and I know that "Lappish" is not the most correct of terms), but subsequent research has shown that Seimi means 'day-care, day-nursery, manger' in Finnish and Sami means "Lappish" Elliott Lash
