well, Montreiano represents /S/ as either x, or with stops and the like, with just s (it didnt go the route of Spanish where an e was added, the s just evolved to /S/: red - roxo /roSo/ he is - eu sta /Sta/ So, if the following I isnt syllabic in Montreiano, and there's a /S/ before, they use x: xima /Sima/ of course, Montreiano is following the route of old Spanish here. /tS/ is always ch though. Perhaps you could use a ç for /tS/? Montreiano uses is for /ts/: plaça - plaza
