People are welcome to make non-mail-based forums in addition to
this list, but I think a lot of the people on here, like me,
really like a good old-fashioned *mailing* list that doesn't
attract confused persons talking about the "site"[1].  I like having
all the email archives on my own computer where I can grep them.

And I'm grateful for the 100-messages-a-day limit.  Otherwise,
I could never catch up when I'm behind.

[1] As most Yahoo groups do...
