:-) I use "soul" but in Chevraqis it's strongly associated with the word
for "shadow." For similar reasons to yours, "heart" has nothing to do
with love or emotion, though one word for "alive" is derived from the
same morpheme as "heart" and "blood"; it can also be translated as "warm"
or "still having a pulse."
