I can't imagine anything more boring than a conlang deriving all lexical fields in unique ways! :) In general, whenever I invent a derivative affix to do something like this, I write down one or two less-common alternatives. Yivokuchi has |-in|, |-at|, |-gaw|, |-ip| and |-no| for different shades of meaning. kekin 'likely' from kak- 'chance' gabat 'limit' from gab- 'limit' feingaw 'desirable' from fein 'want, will' tuip 'mandatory' from tup- 'obligation' cirtalno 'serious' from cirtal 'seriousness' Plus Ablaut/diphthongization, from verbs: ael 'full, packed' from Old Y. /hE:l/, from /hEl/ 'fill' laod 'expressive' from Old Y. /lO:d/, from /lOd/ 'show' --Pablo Flores http://www.angelfire.com/ego/pdf/ng/index.html
