So you're holding up atheists as your standard of reasonableness? :)
True, many people are led to atheism by rational thought processes, but
since there's a high correlation between atheism and general skepticism,
sometimes folks go too far. I know at least one guy who refuses to
believe ANYTHING until he's demonstrated it by repeating the experiment
himself. So at the moment he doesn't believe in relativity, evolution,
the lack of gravity in space, etc, etc - he's like the all-too-common
response to a software bug report: "Sorry, unable to reproduce it".
And this is a man with a degree in a scientific field.
Anyway, you can always find plenty of folks who believe or disbelieve
anything. If sheer number of disbelievers is an argument against
something, then I'd say Christianity is in trouble. :)
