Well, I've never checked wether I write by hand faster than I type, but it's
of little interest since I tend to do it in quite different circumstances.
Apart from exams (where you've got not choice), writing by hand tends to
involve note-taking - bring along a laptop would be quite cumbersome if you
ask me! - or trying out con-script designs (which are never getting anywhere).

PS Writing CONLANG post accounts for a scary proportion of everything I write
these days. It'd be really annoying to do this by hand!
