The point is that *generalizing* across the education system of the U.S.
is invariably ill-informed, because *nobody* is well informed on this
subject.  Some schools are very good, some are very bad.  Some are
traditional, some are not.  There's no particular correlation.  Or
maybe there is, but *nobody knows*, because nobody has done the
research, or could afford to.
