Not really. I've never had a fountain pen which lasted more than 3 years.
After a while, the tip wears out, or the pen falls and the tip is broken
(unlike calligraphy pens, the tips of such fountain pens are *extremely*
thin, not more than 2mm, for a length of about 5. Fragile :)) ).
