Germany in the 1940s writing one of the best programming languages of the
time? (Can't remember the thing's name... I don't think it was publicly
released till 1975 or 1978 or something. The only thing I can remember
about the language was that it used two or three lines for each command.)

Which they'll probably ignore because they realise this. The people who
set your exams aren't total idiots, but there's probably some university
policy about computers and exams...
