japanese does that too in some way :
the clitic "ni" is used to show plain locative,
agentive and any third object - dative included :
sensei wa gakusei ni oshieru.
teacher teaches to student.
gakusei wa sensei ni oshierareru.
student is taught to by teacher.
yama wa hito ni mieru.
the man can see a mountain.
but it is still not used to show transitive subject.
