Oh sodding hell. I'm sorry to James and everyone else that this
went to the list instead of to Adam; I clicked the reply-to
button that for most of my email sends only to the author of the
replied to message. It's a bit rich of me to ostensibly seek to
excuse someone on grounds of age but turn it into a kind of rebuff
by sending it publicly. I hope charitable people will spare me
a bit of the forgiveness that the world could do with so much
more of!
