I hesitate to inconvenience myself by learning an alternative keyboard
layout. During periods of employment I normally have to use computers shared
by others so QWERTY is the only choice. During my mini-retirements between
jobs, I suppose I can do whatever I want on the home computers, but if I
were going to stray from QWERTY is would certainly design my own layout -- I
would feel like I had neglected a creative opportunity/responsibility if I
adopted Dvorak or some other pre-existing alternative.
