Hehe. And that impression might even be strengthened by the fact that I smoke
tobacco :)) . But here in the Netherlands neither my shirt nor my tobacco are
considered typical lower-class attributes. In fact, we don't have much of a
class-distinction at all here.
Anyway, let me assure you that the rest of me (not visible on the picture) is
quite un-sailor-like: I don't drink (well, a beer from time to time, but I
never drink myself into complete oblivion); I am terribly lazy when it comes to
physical labour, and as a result I have considerably more belly than muscles;
and my language is quite a bit more academic than that of the average sailor.
